Body Of Missing Army Soldier Recovered On Day 6 Of Anantnag Encounter
The body of the Indian soldier, who had been missing alongside Major Aashish Dhonchak during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district, was recovered on Monday, officials confirmed to Times Now.

Anantnag: The body of the Indian soldier, who had been missing alongside Major Aashish Dhonchak during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district, was recovered on Monday, officials confirmed to Times Now. The soldier has been identified as Pradeep. The encounter is currently underway in the Kokernag area of the district.
The Indian army is bringing back the body of the jawan. So far four security personnel were killed in action during the Anantnag encounter. Notably, the gunfight entered its sixth day on Monday.
The encounter started on Wednesday, September 13. On the first day, two Indian Army Officers - Colonel Manpreet Singh and Major Dhonchak sacrificed their lives, while Deputy Superintendent of the Jammu and Kashmir Police Humayun Bhat was also killed in action during the gunfight on Wednesday.
The operation has now lasted for over 100 hours. The security forces are several challenges, including unforgiving terrain and dense foliage. To counter these challenges, cutting-edge weaponry, including weaponized drones have been deployed to blast the cave hideouts.
On Friday night, a footage emerged that captured the use of weaponised drones, to neutralise terrorist cave hideouts.
