Bihar Crime: Retired Teacher, Witness In Son's Murder Case, Shot Dead In Begusarai

Patna: A retired teacher was shot dead by a group of criminals in the early morning hours of Sunday in Bihar's Begusarai.
The incident took place near Fateha Halt of the Bachwara police station area. The deceased has been identified as Jawahar Chaudhary, a resident of Fateha. Two years ago, the younger son of the deceased was also shot dead by criminals.
According to the villagers, the incident was the outcome of a pertaining land dispute. However, it is also said that he was the witness in the murder case of his son -- making him the target.
Jawahar Chaudhary was out for his morning walk when the criminals surrounded and shot him, killing the retired teacher on the spot. The cops arrived at the spot after being informed about the development by locals.
Bachhwara police station in-charge Ajit Kumar told the press that an investigation is ongoing.
