Tesla CEO Elon Musk was asked about his wife during his meeting with Erdogan.
Elon Musk and Turkey President Tayyip Erdogan reportedly had an awkward conversation when the two met in New York on Sunday. The former visited the United States to attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session.
Erdogan, according to reports, asked Musk about his wife. The Tesla CEO is unmarried currently. He has two ex-wives out of 3 marriages (he married his first wife Talulah Riley twice).
"Where is your wife?" Erdogan asked, according to Business Insider.
"Oh, she's in San Francisco. We're separated, I take care of him mostly," Musk responded.
A video of the conversation, Musk holding his son, has gone viral on social media.
X ? A-12 Musk (X for short) is one of the three children the Twitter boss has with his pop singer partner Grimes. The couple said they were "semi-separated" in September 2021.
Erdogan, per Turkish state media, also invited Musk to make a Tesla factory in Turkey. The automobile company already has six factories worldwide. They are setting up one more in Mexico.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Elon Musk spoke during a meeting at Turkish House in New York. The President also told the Tesla boss that Turkey is open to cooperation on artificial intelligence and Starlink, the satellite internet venture of Musk's SpaceX, the communications directorate said.
Erdogan invited Elon Musk to attend Turkish aerospace and technology festival Teknofest in Izmir at the end of September.
The Twitter boss is set to meet Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu in California. The two will talk about artificial intelligence technology, Musk posted on X.
