Ducati India has launched the new-gen Scrambler range in India which includes the Scrambler Icon, Scrambler Full Throttle, and the Scrambler Nightshift. Bookings for the new Scrambler motorcycles have already commenced and deliveries for the booked units will commence soon, Ducati confirmed.
The ex-showroom price for the new Ducati Scrambler range starts from Rs 10.39 lakh with the Icon trim, followed by the Full Throttle and Nightshift trims both priced at Rs 12 lakh. The new range of Ducati Scramblers gain several new features, the likes of which we discussed below:

2023 Ducati Scrambler: Engine & Transmission

Powering the Ducati Scrambler is the same 803CC, L-twin cylinder, oil, and air-cooled Desmodue engine that produces 73bhp at 8250rpm and 65.2Nm of torque 7000rpm. However, Ducati states that the engine is now lighter than ever before and sees a weight reduction of up to 2.5 kg. Transmission duties are taken care of a six-speed gearbox as before. However, Ducati is also offering quickshifter as an option on the Scrambler Icon, Nightshift and as standard equipment with the Full Throttle trim.

2023 Ducati Scrambler: Key Design Changes

Further banking upon its iconic stature, the Ducati Scrambler's design has been further accentuated with distinct styling for all three trims. Starting with the entry-level Icon trim, Ducati has subtly redesigned the tank and made it more customizable with replaceable panels that are available on the fender, tags on the wheel, and the headlight covers. The handlebar has also been revised and is now lowered which should enable riders with more control. Moving on, the seat is now also brand-new and flatter than before.
The Full Throttle trim, on the other hand, is the sportiest of the range and the styling has been inspired by U.S flat track competitions in dirt ovals. There's a side number plate with the number '62' that is a tribute to the year when the first Ducati Scrambler was launched. In addition, the Full Throttle trim also gets a dedicated livery in GP19 Red/Dark Stealth colour option.
Lastly, the Nightshift is the "most elegant" Scrambler of the three, Ducati describes. There's a distinct cafe racer styling available with the Nightshift and with an exclusive Nebula Blue coloring and spoked wheels, there's a distinct sophisticated appearance with this Scrambler trim.

2023 Ducati Scrambler: Suspension and Brakes

Suspension duties in the 2023 Ducati Scrambler are taken care of 41mm-USD forks from Kyaba at the front, and shock absorbers with adjustable spring pre-load for the rear wheel. All three trims of the Ducati Scrambler rides on 18-inch wheels at the front and 17-inch wheel at the back. The front wheel gets a single 330mm disc with a four-piston monobloc caliper from Brembo, and a 245mm disc with a single-piston caliper available with the rear wheel.

2023 Ducati Scrambler: Technology And New Techniques

The new generation Ducati Scrambler now gets a new 4.3-inch instrument cluster that also gets Ducati Multimedia system as an accessory which in turn allows you to control music and calls by connecting your phone via Bluetooth. In addition to that, with the implementation of ride-by-wire throttle, the Scrambler now also gain two new ride modes, Road and Wet.
Other key updates available with the Ducati Scrambler include an updated trellis frame and new swingarm all of which have helped shed 4 kg of weight from previous generation Scrambler.
