Bengaluru: In another troubling incident showcasing unsafety on Bengaluru roads, particularly for female drivers, a woman waiting in her car on the Marathahalli bridge service road had an unsettling encounter with a man who kept banging on the car's window and acting strangely. A page on X, called “Karnataka Portfolio,” reported the incident, prompting a response from the Bengaluru City Police.
According to the video, the woman was sitting alone in her car when a man approached her vehicle. He tried to open all four doors but found them locked. "A girl was waiting near the Marathahalli bridge service road when a man approached her car. He noticed she was alone and tried to open all four doors but couldn't because they were locked," the viral post said.

As the woman began recording the situation on her phone, the man moved to her right side and attempted to break the window. Sensing the imminent danger, she quickly started her car and drove away. “She (the woman) wanted to share this experience to warn other women to stay vigilant and ensure their safety in similar situations. Always lock your doors and trust your instincts,” said the post’s caption.
The Bengaluru police reacted swiftly to the incident, stating, “We have informed the concerned police officers for necessary action.” Later, they commented, “We have attended to this issue as per law.”

The post gained over 90 thousand views on X (formerly Twitter), with many users raising concerns about the matter. One user said, “This means that we must be vigilant at all times while driving, walking, or taking public transportation. We live a sad, stressful life.” Another added, “He looks intoxicated!”.
One user also mentioned that it is not just police action that is necessary but also public vigilance: “Thanks, but this is serious and I know HAL traffic police are very fast to detect. Police action is not just what the public needs, but wide publicity on how these guys made to suffer in their prison is more important. Reformation is not for everyone.”
