Gold, silver prices today, September 18 2023: Gold price climbed Rs 180 to Rs 60,200 per 10 grams in the national capital on Monday amid a jump in yellow metal prices in overseas markets.

Gold, silver prices today, September 18 2023: The prices of both the precious metals - gold and silver edged higher today in the trade on September 18 (Monday) amid strong global trends on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) in India.
The Gold futures, maturing on October 5, 2023 rose marginally by 0.32 per cent or Rs 191 to stand at Rs 59, 184 per 10 grams on the MCX at around 5 PM on September 18.
The prices of silver too rose today as the silver futures expiring on December 5, 2023 climbed up by 0.63 per cent or Rs 455 to stand at Rs 72, 609 per kilogram on September 18, Tuesday, at around 5 PM.
Gold, silver prices on September 17
Both gold and silver settled at Rs 55,500 (22 carat) and at Rs 73,500 respectively on the previous on September 17.

"Gold rose on Monday, with spot gold prices (24 carats) in the Delhi markets trading at Rs 60,200/10 grams, up by Rs 180 following a positive trade in the overseas markets," Saumil Gandhi, PTI quoted senior analyst of commodities at HDFC Securities.
In the global markets, gold and silver were up at USD 1,927 per ounce and USD 23.10 per ounce, respectively.
