Tamil Nadu's 3rd Vande Bharat Train; Check Routes And Timings of Vijayawada – Chennai Express
The prime minister is to flag off nine new Vande Bharat Express trains on September 24. Currently, 25 routes in India are served by Vande Bharat Express trains.

Chennai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to virtually inaugurate nine new Vande Bharat trains on September 24. One of these trains will ply between Vijayawada and Chennai i.e. Vijayawada-Chennai Vande Bharat Express. Sources indicate that the eight-car rake will operate six days a week, excluding Tuesdays, and will commence its commercial runs on September 25. With these new additions, the semi-high-speed trains will now connect all states in the country.
Train Timings
The Chennai-Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express departs from Vijayawada at 5:30 am, reaching Chennai by 12:10 pm. It then leaves Chennai at 3:20 pm, arriving in Vijayawada at 10 pm. Covering a distance of 516 km in six hours and 40 minutes, the train makes stops atRoute of Vijayawada – Chennai Vande Bharat Express
Setting off from Chennai Central, this Vande Bharat Express stops at Gudur Junction, Nellore, Ongole, Tenali Junction, and ends its journey at Vijayawada Junction. Boasting an average speed of 86 km/h, the train cuts the travel time between Chennai and Vijayawada to just 5 hours. In comparison, the current fastest train, the Tamilnadu Express, covers the same distance in 5 hours and 45 minutes.
The New Vande Bharat Trains
The prime minister is to flag off nine new Vande Bharat Express trains on September 24. Currently, 25 routes in India are served by Vande Bharat Express trains. From New Delhi, PM Modi will essentially signal the start of these new additions, via video conference. Improved amenities and a bright orange and white colour scheme will be included in the most recent Vande Bharat Express rakes.
The overall number of Vande Bharat trains operating in India will increase to 34 with these additional additions. It's important to note, however, that the Railway Ministry has not yet achieved its goal of having 75 Vande Bharat trains running by the end of the year.
