8 Killed, 1 Injured After SUV Collides With Another Vehicle On Indore-Ahmedabad Highway Near Betma

Indore/Ahmedabad: In a recent incident, tragedy struck on the bustling Indore-Ahmedabad Highway near Betma in Madhya Pradesh's Indore district late Wednesday night as eight individuals were killed and one sustained injuries in a collision involving an SUV and another vehicle, as per police reports.
DSP (rural) Umakant Chaudhary reported that a Bolero car accident occurred on the Indore-Ahmedabad Highway within the Betwa Police Station limits. The vehicle was carrying nine people, and tragically, eight of them lost their lives. They were all travelling towards Guna, as per a Times of India report.
One of the casualties was a police constable. The bodies of the victims have been dispatched for post-mortem examination, while the injured individual has been swiftly transported to the hospital for necessary medical treatment. Further details are awaited.
In another incident, a collision between a military truck and two other vehicles took place in Madhya Pradesh's Raigarh district on Monday. Two people died and 15 were injured in the collision that involved a military truck, bus, and car, the police said. The accident occurred on National Highway 46 near Pilukhedi, under the Kurawar police station area, an official said. The accident took place after one of the tyres of the military truck burst, causing it to collide with an SUV and a private bus, Mehtab Singh Thakur, Kurawar Police Station in-charge, said.
Om Kori, 23, who was the cleaner of the bus, and passenger Hariom Shivhare, 26, died on the spot. 15 people, including two military personnel, were injured in the accident.
