Ahmedabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain on Wednesday. The maximum temperature is expected to be 34 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will be 28 degrees Celsius. On July 10th, the city will experience moderate rain, with temperatures ranging from 28 degrees Celsius to 34 degrees Celsius. The 11th will bring light rain under generally cloudy skies, maintaining similar temperature ranges.
Thunderstorms with rain are expected on both July 12th and 13th, with consistent temperatures of 28 degrees Celsius to 34 degrees Celsius. On July 14th and 15th, rain will continue, and the minimum temperature will rise slightly to 29 degrees Celsius, while the maximum will stay at 34 degrees Celsius. Throughout the week, Ahmedabad will experience consistent rainfall, ranging from light showers to thunderstorms, providing much-needed relief from the summer heat. Residents should be prepared for wet weather and plan their activities accordingly.

As per a Times of India report, as of Tuesday, Ahmedabad district had a 21 per cent rainfall deficit, making it one of the 14 districts with a deficit exceeding 20 per cent compared to the long-term average. Across Gujarat, the rainfall deficit has been reduced to 5 per cent, indicating normal rainfall so far this season. On Tuesday, the city recorded about 2 mm of rainfall, with the majority reported in areas like Sarkhej and Gota. Some parts of Gandhinagar also experienced light-to-moderate showers. According to data from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), between 2pm and 3pm, Sarkhej recorded 14mm of rain, while Jodhpur received 5.5mm.
