Ghaziabad: A 7-month-old infant died during treatment and four others suffered severe burns after a massive fire broke out in a house due to an LPG gas cylinder leak in Ghaziabad. The fire incident occurred in Neelmani Colony of Arthala Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad.
The injured victims have been identified as Pramod, the husband, Renu, the wife, along with Deepak and Ajay. The LPG leak occurred for unknown reasons, and unaware of the leak, Renu lit a match to light the stove to make tea. The gas cylinder caught fire upon igniting the matchstick, quickly spreading throughout the house and engulfing the entire place within minutes. An ambulance was immediately called, and the 7-month-old infant was admitted to the hospital, but unfortunately, he died during treatment.
Cars Damaged After Fire Breaks Out In South Delhi's Tent Godowns
In another incident, a fire broke out early Tuesday morning (August 6) in four tent godowns in South Delhi's Jaunapur area, causing damage to several vintage cars parked nearby. As per the officials, there were no casualties reported in the incident. A Delhi Fire Services official said, "A call regarding the fire in four tent godowns was received at 1:56 am on Tuesday, and 10 fire tenders were rushed to the spot." In one more recent incident, on August 5, a fire broke out in a waste material warehouse in Delhi's Karala area, confirmed an official. Mentioning the details about the incident, the Assistant Divisional Officer (ADO) of Delhi Fire Service said, ''The fire incident took place in the Karala area that falls in the Rohini sub-division. We received information about the fire around 8:45 pm on Saturday."
