Noida: 6-Year-Old Girl Sexually Assaulted by Labourer at School; Family Claims Cover-Up Attempt

Noida: A six-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man at a private school in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The police on Wednesday said the accused is a lobourer by profession, who assaulted the minor when she was playing on the school premises on Tuesday, said Inspector in-charge of Sector-24 police station Dhruv Bhushan Dubey. Meanwhile, the minor's family has accused the school of trying to brush off the matter under the carpet when they received the information about the alleged crime.

"The girl told her teachers about it and the principal was also informed. But the school management tried to suppress the matter," said the family. According to the police, a case has been registered, while an manhunt has been launched to apprehend the accused.

Delhi Boy Raped by Neighbour

In a similar crime from Noida's neighbouring city Delhi, a six-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped and raped by 35-year-old neighbour. The case began with the police receiving a missing report of the minor on September 1. The police traced him, and taken to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC).

On September 3, the police received another call from the parents of the minor, alleging that their was raped by a neighbour named Balram Dass aka Kalu. The police reached his to arrest him, but a large, hostile crowd formed, including many women and children from the densely populated area. The police team that reached the incident spot, was also attacked by the crowd.

Following Dass's arrest and the addition of Section 8 POCSO to the charges, a large crowd gathered outside the Govind Puri Police Station, demanding justice. The police managed to take control over the crowd some way, and convinced them that the strictest action will be taken against the accused.
