The Ministry of Education has introduced a significant initiative where Iit Jodhpur will offer first-year B.Tech courses in both Hindi and English starting this academic year. This dual-language approach aims to enhance students' comprehension and academic performance by allowing them to learn in their preferred language.
Under the new initiative, two divisions will be established based on language preference. Despite this division, the same teacher will deliver lectures to both classes, ensuring consistent and high-quality education standards are maintained.
The Ministry of Education in a post on its official “X” handle said, “The Ministry of Education is pleased to share that @iitjodhpur will now offer B. Tech 1st year courses in both Hindi and English, beginning this academic year! This initiative is designed to ensure all students can learn effectively in the language they are most comfortable with. Both sections will be taught by the same instructor, maintaining consistency and quality. This is a significant step towards fostering a more inclusive and supportive educational environment at IIT Jodhpur. ”
This initiative aims to foster a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere. By offering courses in both Hindi and English, IIT Jodhpur is showing its dedication to catering to students from diverse linguistic backgrounds. This is particularly beneficial for students who may find it challenging to grasp complex technical concepts in a language they are less fluent in.
Following recent approval from the Ministry of Education, aspiring engineers interested in pursuing a B.Tech at IIT Jodhpur can now opt to study in Hindi. Admission to IIT Jodhpur’s B.Tech programme will depend on their performance in the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced 2024). During the admission process, students will have the opportunity to choose their preferred language of instruction. Accordingly, IIT Jodhpur will divide students into two groups based on their language preferences before the academic year begins.
