IITs That Did Not Make The Cut for NIRF Engineering Rankings 2024: Top IITs Ranked in Order
The Indian Institutes of Technology, IITs continue to remain on the top spots in the NIRF India Rankings 2024. In the Engineering category, the top 10 spots are taken by IITs. Of the total 23 IITs, 21 made it to the top Engineering College list. However, IIT Goa and IIT Dharwad could not secure any spot in the top 100 list of NIRF rankings.
In the Overall category of NIRF Ranking, IIT Bhubaneshwar is also out of the list. In the Engineering category, IIT BBS is ranked 53rd spot. If compared with NIRF 2023 rankings, IIT Dharwad was at least able to secure 93rd position in the Engineering category but this year it is not even in the top 100 list.
As of IIT Goa, it was not ranked in top 100 in 2023 or 2024.

IIT Madras has maintained its top position in the overall category for the sixth year in a row, spanning from 2019 to 2024, while, the institute has secured the number one spot in the engineering category for the ninth consecutive year, from 2016 to 2024.
