Govinda Hospitalised In Mumbai After Accidently Shooting Himself With Gun

Govinda Gunshot News: Bollywood actor Govinda mistakenly shot himself in the leg while cleaning his revolver, early on Tuesday. He is currently getting treatment at a Mumbai hospital. Mumbai police has launched investigation.

Actor Govinda was rushed to the Criti Care Hospital in Mumbai after mistakenly shooting himself in his leg with a gun, as stated by senior Mumbai police official. The mishap happened at his Juhu residence early on Tuesday, 4.45 am. The 60-year-old is out of danger, his manager claimed.

Govinda's manager gives details

As per reports, Govinda was alone at his home when the misfire took place. He was cleaning his revolver. His manager Shashi Sinha told ANI that the actor was about to leave for Kolkata. When he kept his licensed revolver in the case, the accident happened.

"Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was getting ready to leave for Kolkata. He was keeping his licensed revolver in the case when it fell from his hand and a bullet got fired which hit his leg. The doctor has removed the bullet and his condition is fine. He is in the hospital right now," the manager said.

He revealed that the revolver fell from Govinda's hand "while being kept in the cupboard and misfired." The manager added, "It is due to God's grace that Govinda ji sustained only a leg injury and it was nothing serious."

Govinda is out of danger

Doctors claim that despite losing a lot of blood, he is out of danger and under treatment. Mumbai police has launched an investigation to understand the circumstances that led to the incident. They have also taken possession of Govinda's revolver and are in the process of recording statements from the family members.

The Mumbai Police may also take a statement from the actor once he has recovered.
