Chandu Champion, the sports drama that marks Kartik Aaryan's first film with Kabir Khan, is all set to hit the theatres on June 14. The film is inspired by the life of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympics gold medallist. With an emotional storyline and great music, the first review for the film has come from the man himself – Murlikant Petkar.

Before the film’s release, Kartik and Kabir hosted a special screening in which Murlikant was invited. After the film concluded, the veteran athlete was in tears while his son got emotional and hugged both Kabir and Kartik.

Some audience members invited to the special screening were also seen crying while watching the film. Sharing the video on Instagram, Kartik wrote, “First screening of Chandu Champion with the Man himself. An evening filled with honor, joy and tears with THE REAL CHAMPION. The Man who refused to surrender MR MURLIKANT PETKAR.”
The Chief of Army was also invited to the screening and Kartik posted another video to thank the officers who were present to watch the film. The video showed director Kabir Khan thanking the Army for all the help, while Kartik expressed his gratitude at getting the opportunity to play Murlikant Petkar on-screen. He captioned the video, “It was indeed an honor to be in the presence of the Chief of Army and the esteemed Army officers watching #ChanduChampion”.
Meanwhile, the movie made history by becoming the first film to start its advance booking at Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The Kabir Khan and Kartik Aryan combination is highly awaited and with positive reactions for the first screening, things are looking good for the Director-actor duo.
