Fardeen Khan on Sharmin Segal getting trolled for Heeramandi

During an exclusive chat with Zoom, Fardeen Khan defended his Heeramandi co-star Sharmin Segal, who has been facing massive trolling for her portrayal of Alamzeb in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali web series. "I think it is extremely unfortunate, the whole trolling aspect of it. Everyone has a right to like or not like someone's performance, but this whole trolling aspect is something that's just simply wrong and not done."
Praising the actress, Fardeen further added, "I believe she's done a very very decent job in Heeramandi. She had a very complex, challenging role and she was working with some mega talent out there. For me, she came across song. I think it was a great start for her career and acting in general."
The B-town star went on to slam the trolls. "I have been a victim of it myself. It's an unfortunate sign of the times. It is what it is. You have got to develop some thick skin and when it's wrong you've got to speak up and call it out. It reveals more about the people trolling than about the person being trolled."
