Hema Malini: I’ve Been Given A Third Chance To Work For My Constituency | EXCLUSIVE

The Dream Girl Hema Malini is determined to make her constituents’ dreams come true. Following her victory in Mathura, the actor-turned-politician sat down with Zoom to outline her forthcoming plans for the city.
In an exclusive interview, Hema Malini told us, “Mathura has become my second home. In fact, I spend more time in Mathura than I do in Mumbai. I wish I could spend more time with my grandchildren. But I have a larger duty towards the people of Mathura who have elected me for the third time."
Raising her voice to make herself heard over the clamour of her fans and wellwishers in Mathura, Hema further added, “Not too many people get an opportunity like this, to work for their constituency for the third time. I am blessed by Lord Krishna himself. I have always been a devotee, and now I have the opportunity to serve the people of Lord Krishna’s birthplace for the third time. It is more than what I expected in life.”
So is she looking at devoting all her time to politics? "Are you hinting at films? I am open to doing strong characters. I can't be playing this one and that one's mother. In my heydays, I carried films on my own shoulder. Now I can't be playing props," she concluded.
For the unversed, Hema Malini won the Mathura constituency for the third time in a row. She defeated Congress' Mukesh Dhangar by a huge margin of 2,93,407 votes. Hema (75) garnered 5,10,064 votes. While Congress candidate Dhangar and BSP candidate Suresh Singh received 2,16,657 and 1,88,417 votes respectively.
Hema Malini also won the seat in 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
