The pre-wedding festivities of Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani's youngest son Anant Ambani and industrialist Viren Merchant's daughter Radhika Merchant are currently taking place in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The crème de la crème of Bollywood are attending the extravagant three-day affair. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who shares a warm bond with the Ambani, added chaar chand to the festivities. And, on day 2, he set the stage on fire with his powerful performance.
Shah Rukh Khan turns host
SRK turned a host for the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. A video showed him introducing Kokilaben Ambani, Purnima Dalal, and Devyani Khimji to the audience.
"...and for very good measure, Jai Shri Ram. God bless you all," SRK said as he graced the stage and added, "You have seen dance performances. The brothers have danced, the sisters have danced, uncle and aunty, hero and heroine… Hum saath saath ka jo moment hai bina prayers aur duaaon ka aage nahi badhta (the togetherness can’t go forward without the prayers and blessings)."
Welcoming the three pillars of the Ambani clan virtually, he added, "Let me take a moment to introduce you all to the 'powerpuff girls' of the Ambani family. The three murtis, three deviya (goddess) of the family, Sarvati, Laxmi and Parvati. Their prayers and blessings have kept this family together. They have been telling stories, keeping this culture in the family going ahead. The auspiciousness, the wealth and the fortune and also have kept the legacy of the Ambanis thriving with their stories, guiding hand and advice. And will continue to do so for generations to come."
Jhoome Jo Pathaan Mehfil HI Ruk Jaaye
And yes, the mefil did come to a standstill when SRK gave an electrifying performance on his hit songs. He grooved to blockbuster Pathaan's title track and brought the house down.
He also joined Salman Khan and Aamir Khan for a special dance where they all recreated each other's signature steps.
Not just that, he later turned cheerleader for singer Diljit Dosanjh during his performance at the pre-wedding gala.
