The upcoming Kannada film My Hero will feature an exciting collaboration between actors from Sandalwood and Hollywood. This unique cross-cultural project brings together talent from both Indian and Western film industries, promising a diverse and dynamic cast.

My Hero to release on August 23

My Hero, directed by Avinash Vijayakumar, is slated for release on August 23. Produced under the AV Studios banner, the film brings together leading talents from both Sandalwood and Hollywood. PVR Inox is presenting the film across theatres nationwide.

Avinash Vijayakumar, who also produced the film, aims to highlight a global social issue through the narrative. My Hero was shot across diverse locations in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, and the United States, promising a visually rich experience.

Hollywood and Sandalwood actors

The star-studded cast includes Hollywood actors Djilali Rez-Kallah and child artist Vedik Kaushik in lead roles. They are joined by American actor Eric Roberts, along with prominent Indian actors Dattanna, Prakash Belawadi, Niranjan Deshpande, Ankita Amar, Tanuja Krishnappa, and Naveen Bondel.

The film's music is composed by Gagan Baderia, with cinematography by Venus Nagaraj. The story and screenplay have been written by Avinash Vijayakumar and Muthuraj T, promising a compelling narrative that resonates with audiences globally.

According to reports, Avinash Vijayakumar, who studied filmmaking in San Francisco, first met Djilali Rez-Kallah at an institute. Since the story of My Hero extends to the USA, Avinash decided to cast Rez-Kallah as a retired army officer.

Djilali Rez-Kallah, a Hollywood actor, has acted in films including The Entity, Believe, Salty Dish and Ruffian. He has also starred in English web series like Get Able Laid and The Device. My Hero marks his debut in Kannada cinema.
