The National-Award winning writer and director, Baraguru Ramachandrappa, has wrapped up the shooting of his next Kannada film titled Swapna Mantapa. The film is based on his novel by the same title.
Apart from directing the film, Baraguru Ramachandrappa has written the script, dialogues and the lyrics for the film. The shooting and dubbing processes are over. Shooting was recently carried out in a village near Kanakapura for which Hosamane Murthy had erected a village set.

Propagates Preservation Of Historical Places

The film looks to underline the significance of historical places and the need to preserve it. Swapna Mantapa revolves around one such tale wherein a few miscreants attempt to move a historical monument built by a King in the past. This is when a group of people in the village including the protagonist, played by Vijay Raghavendra, fight for the preservation of the building. They finally get the structure enlisted by the government as a historical monument.

Dual roles

The film also showcases the tale of those who built the monument - Swapna Manatapa. Another highlight of the film is that both Vijay Raghavendra and Ranjani Raghavan play dual roles in it. Though the makers have not revealed much, Vijay And Ranjani play the historical characters as well as characters from present times in the film. Actor Vijay Raghavendra, who has had six films of his released in 2023, is busy with multiple projects. So far, some of his films have released in 2024 and a couple more are set to hit the screens in the coming months.
