XG announces IYKYK release date
XG recently announced the release of IYKYK, the second pre-release track from their highly-awaited mini-album, AWE. The track is set to drop on October 11.Sampling m-flo's 2001 hit Prism, the pre-release track promises to create a sensation of drifting through space and heightening the excitement for the adventure ahead. IYKYK revolves around XG's willingness to break boundaries with new endeavors. In fact, the track invites fans to join the girl group on a journey to an uncharted and isolated dimension.
For the unversed, XG will be dropping their second mini-album AWE on November 8. The highly-awaited album reflects the psychological process of awe that people experience when encountering a new presence, which is a mix of fear and curiosity as they come to accept it. XG aims to evoke that sense of awe with the unique album.
On the work front
Recently, XG made waves by releasing WOKE UP REMIXX (PROD BY JAKOPS) featuring prominent Japanese and Korean hip-hop artists, namely, Jay Park, OZworld, AKLO, Paloalto, VERBAL (m-flo), Awich, Tak and Dok2.XG is currently on their first world tour, The first HOWL. Starting in Las Vegas on October 4, they will perform in eight cities across North America, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Grand Prairie, Sugar Land, New York, Duluth and Chicago. Following the North American leg, the Europe tour will kick off in Manchester on November 18 and continue through London, Berlin, Paris, Düsseldorf, Brussels and Amsterdam. In 2025, they will hold eight additional shows across four cities in Japan: Nagoya, Tokyo, Fukuoka and Osaka.
