About ?Chef Chidambara

Actor Aniruddha Jatkar is back with Chef Chidambara, a thriller that promises to be a tasty treat. Is the thriller dish, which features Racel David, Nidhi Subbaiah, Shivamani and Sharath Lohitashwa among others and served by the director Anand Raj, good enough to enjoy? Let’s find out…
With all kinds of thrillers in Kannada hitting the screens lately, Chef Chidamabara comes up with a different recipe that revolves around a chef who does everything but cook! Anirudha Jatkar, who had been busy with television soaps, returns to play the lead along with Nidhi Subbaiah, who was on a sabbatical from acting.

Uncooked With Hardly Any Meat

Chef Chidambara as a thriller is quite simple. It has been made with a handful of ingredients, as in characters in the film. Aniruddha Jatkar, has his own issue with his property and Nidhi Subbaiah as Mona comes to him with a deal. On the other hand, the underworld don played by Shivamani is on the lookout for his smartphone and his man who has gone missing with it!
The deal that Mona offers Chidambara and the don’s equation with a corrupt police officer helping him are the main ingredients of Chef Chidambara.

Side Dish

While the main dish that serves as a thriller lacks spice and flavour that are required to make the film give audiences an-edge-of- the seat experience, it is the side dish -- the performances of Aniruddha Jatkar and Nidhi Subbaiah -- that actually make the meal somewhat palatable. In other words, it is the performances of the lead actors that compensate to some extent the lack of a gripping, watertight plot and make this film of one hour and forty-five minutes somewhat enjoyable.
There is a subplot that revolves around underworld don and his gang. Also, Chef Chidamabara does everything but cook. What happened to the man who accidentally died at the residence of the chef, who cooks delicious biryani? Well, that will be food for thought!

Verdict

Chef Chidambara as a thriller is only as good as a non-vegetarian dish that hardly has any meat to savour.
