Super Zindagi: A Promising Plot Let Down By Poor Script, Unconvincing Performances

The film's premise does have intense potential to turn into an incredibly hilarious comic caper, but the narrative stands on a wafer-thin script that does not do justice to what the film set out to do. From the characterization to the story's narrative, Super Zindagi is a rather uneventful experience. Although it is a well-presented film in terms of its visuals, editing and soundtrack, the technical excellence does very little to bolster the weak storytelling. The comedy works in parts, but no matter how the cast of the film tries, fails to stick for most parts of the film.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that he has a release every Friday, Dhyan Sreenivasan seems to have taken absolutely no effort to even attempt a performance in this film. Maybe he was aware of the flimsy script from the beginning that he seems completely disinterested in being on screen. Since a comedy legend like Mukesh is opposite him, the resulting chemistry provides for a few moments of entertainment. Others like Suresh Krishna and Johny Antony just come across as caricatures, so leaves one with a feeling that something's missing overall, because even the actors seem as clueless as the audience.

Super Zindagi is the kind of film you could watch in the comfort of home if you have nothing else to do on a weekend, but does not provide you with anything significant other than a passable way to kill time.
