Suriya 44: Suriya Sustains Injury On Karthik Subbaraj's Film Set, Producer Assures 'He's Perfectly Fine'

According to reports, Suriya sustained a minor head injury while shooting for Karthik Subbaraj's upcoming action film in Ooty. Reportedly, he was filming a high-octane action sequence that led to an accident. The producer of Suriya 44 confirmed in a tweet that the actor is fine and there's nothing to worry about.

Suriya 44: Suriya Sustains Injury On Karthik Subbaraj's Film Set, Producer Assures 'He's Perfectly Fine'

Suriya Sivakumar is currently shooting for Karthik Subbaraj’s upcoming film. According to reports, the actor sustained a minor injury while filming the second schedule in Ooty. Reportedly, he was taken to a hospital. Suriya has been advised bed rest for a couple of days.

Soon after the report of Suriya’s injury on the sets of Suriya 44 went viral, the producer of the film, Rajsekar Pandian assured fans that the situation is under control. As per reports, Suriya sustained a head injury while shooting an intense action sequence.

Producer clarifies the situation is under control

Rajsekar Pandian, the CEO of 2D Entertainment, wrote on his official X account, “Dear #AnbaanaFans, It was a minor injury. Pls don’t worry, Suriya Anna is perfectly fine with all your love and prayers.”

The second schedule of Suriya 44 had kickstarted in Ooty earlier this month. Due to Suriya’s injury, the shoot has reportedly come to a brief halt. Further updates on his health are yet to be released.

Suriya 44 was announced on March 28. Sharing the news, the Tamil superstar wrote, “New beginnings..! Need all your good wishes!”

If reports are to be believed, Pooja Hegde has been roped in to play the female lead. The star-studded actioner also has actors like Jayaram, Karunakaran, and Joju George in the other pivotal roles. Suriya 44 is bankrolled by Suriya’s home banner, 2D Entertainment.

While shooting for Suriya 44, the actor awaits the release of the highly-anticipated Tamil film, Kanguva. Also starring Disha Patani and Bobby Deol, Suriya will be seen in three different looks in the film.

A source said, “The actor has undergone a drastic transformation for his role in the film. Each character will have different looks that have never been seen before and will add a different layer of intrigue in the film's story."
