Indresh Malik accepted his character in just 1 minute

In an exclusive conversation with Zoom, Indresh Malik talked about why this show is very meaningful to him and to the audience. On being asked if he felt hesitant before accepting the role, he smiled and said, "Not at all."
Talking about his character with so much keenness and love, Indresh told us, "If you consistently see this character, it's just not about being Queer or LGBTQIA+ person. If you see the shade - 16 kala samporn, kaha se paida hua hoga, kisne kiya hoga, kaha phek diya hoga, kaisi iski upbringing hogi, sexually, physically, mentally exploit hua hoga. Aur waha joh mai prostitutes pala badha - ye shrewd bhi hai, ye warm bhi hai, emotional bhi hai, cunning bhi hai and gusty bhi hai. Aur pyaar dhoondta hai - woh aadmi mai mil jaaye ya aurat mai. Khaali queer nhi hai who. (16 kalas, where they were born, where they would have been thrown, who would have been bringing them up, they would have been exploited sexually, physically, and mentally. And that's where they found the prostitutes - they are also shrewd, they are also warm, they are also emotional, they are also cunning and they are also greedy. And they are looking for love - whether be it a man or a woman who is not queer at all)"
He further stated, "Queer is not just a queer. I'm being a little assertive, LGBTQIA+, ye koi alien thodi hote hai. Toh badi khoobsurat emotional is character ke liye likhi gaye hai, jisko isko bharpoor tarike se, writers and Sanjay ji's vision, woh badhate chale gaye mera kaam. And I was very happy that I could portray with so many shades."
"Honestly, maine ek minute mai bol diya tha ye character mai hi karunga. ( Honestly, in just one minute, I told them that I was going to essay this character). There was some inner voice," Indresh Malik aka Ustaad ji concluded.
