Jabalpur: Around 100 students at an Eklavya tribal hostel in Mandwa Basti, Jabalpur, were hospitalised on Wednesday after suffering from food poisoning. The meal included daal, rice, and jackfruit curry.
The incident took place at a place called Eklavya Tribal Hostel. After the kids ate their food, they started feeling sick and began to vomit. They were rushed to nearby hospitals, where they are being treated for dehydration and other complications, as per TOI report.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the food poisoning, but they believe that it may have been caused by contamination of the food. Samples of the food have been sent to a lab for testing.
The families of the children are really angry about this, and they're saying that the people who run the hostel didn't take good care of the kids. They're saying that the kids have been given bad food before, and when they complained, nobody did anything about it.
District officials have ordered an investigation into the incident.
