New Delhi: KT Rama Rao, the son of former Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, on Friday confirmed that the BRS leader will undergo hip replacement surgery after he had a fall in the bathroom. KTR took to X to share the health update on the former Telangana CM as he wrote, "Sri KCR Garu needs to undergo a Hip Replacement Surgery today after he had a fall in his bathroom. Thanks to all those who have been sending messages for his speedy recovery."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished for a speedy recovery for the former Telangana CM. PM Modi, on X, wrote, "Distressed to know that former Telangana CM Shri KCR Garu has suffered an injury. I pray for his speedy recovery and good health."
KCR's BRS suffered a crushing defeat in the recently concluded assembly polls.
In the recent Telangana elections, KCR contested from two seats, securing victory in the Gajwel constituency but facing defeat in Kamareddy. BJP's Katipally Venkata Ramana Reddy emerged victorious in Kamareddy, defeating both KCR and Revanth Reddy.
The Congress clinched 64 seats out of the 119-member Telangana assembly, while the BRS secured 39 seats. This marked the first defeat for the BRS since the formation of Telangana in 2014.
On Thursday, Revanth Reddy of the Congress was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Telangana along with 11 ministers.
