Days after bomb threat sparked panic in about a hundred schools in Delhi, several schools in Kanpur received similar threat via email on Wednesday. The district administration rushed the bomb disposal squad to the schools immediately after receiving the information.

Kanpur: Several schools in Kanpur received bomb threats via email on Wednesday, sparking concerns among authorities. The Kanpur police said that a case is being registered in this regard and the cyber cell is investigating the matter. The threat comes just weeks after around 100 schools in Delhi received similar threat via email.
The district administration rushed the bomb disposal squad to the schools immediately after receiving the information.
Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Harish Chander said the police's cyber cell is probing the matter. He also urged parents not to create a panic situation.
"Kanpur Police received information about a bomb threat to various schools. The cyber cell is investigating the matter. All officials are instructed to monitor CCTV footage thoroughly to establish a link between this threat and previous bomb threats which were received by multiple schools, airports and hospitals," he was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Bengaluru Schools Get Bomb Threat

On Tuesday, eight schools in Bengaluru received emails threatening bomb blasts. Last week, the city's popular hospital chain, St Philomena, received a bomb threat. All these threatening emails later turned out to be hoaxes.
Bengaluru Scottish School, Bhavan Bangalore School, Jain Heritage School, Deeksha High School, Edify Schools, Chitrakoota School, Gangothri International Public School, and Giridhanva School were among those that received the threat email from the same domain, 'Beeble.com'.

Delhi Schools Get Bomb Threat

Earlier this month, around 100 schools in Delhi received bomb threats after which students were rushed out of schools as authorities investigated the bomb threat. The threat emails were sent to several schools in Delhi-NCR, including Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri, Mother Mary School at Mayur Vihar in east Delhi and Delhi Public School at Dwarka. According to Delhi Police, several schools have received emails regarding the bomb threat today. Investigation is underway.
"Bomb threat at several schools in Delhi | During the initial investigation, it seems that since yesterday till now the mail has been sent to many places and it seems to be on the same pattern. Date line is not mentioned and BCC is mentioned in the mail, which means one mail has been sent to many places. At present an investigation is being done," Delhi Police said.
