Rajkot: A slab over nullah near a private building collapsed in Gujarat's Rajkot on Sunday. Seven to eight people have been rescued so far, and they have been referred to a civil hospital, officials informed
"Seven to eight people have been rescued so far, and they have been referred to civil hospital," reported ANI quoting Anand Patel, Municipal Commissioner, Rajkot.
Patel mentioned that they are currently working on a rescue operation. The exact cause of the collapse is still unknown.
In a separate incident, at least four people got hurt when a part of an old bridge over the Bhogavo river in Surendranagar district collapsed on Sunday evening. This happened as a 40-ton dumper was attempting to cross the bridge on a panchayat road near Wadhwan city, even though heavy vehicles were not allowed to enter, as per the official.
