New Delhi: Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar is all praises for interim Budget and said that the BJP-led government has reshaped, recovered and rebuilt India. In an exclusive conversation with Times Now, the minister said the interim Budget is an example of good governance. "The UPA government left devastated economy. We reshaped, recovered, rebuilt India. India is at a take off stage, next decade will be India's decade," he said.
He said the government is totally focused on development and wholly committed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Viksit Bharat. "This interim budget serves as the report card," he said.
Talking about employment in the country, the Union Minister said, "In terms of job and opportunity creation, we are achieving unprecedented growth in employment. The entire propaganda being disseminated by some individuals in the Congress is founded on complete falsehoods...Unemployment rates have decreased from 5.3% in 2017-18 to 2.4% in 2022-23."
"The people who are talking about unemployment today in the Congress must be shown a mirror. In 2014, when they left the government, out of 42 crore Indians who woke up every day and went to work to earn a living for their families, 31 crore Indians had no skills or education," Chandrasekhar said.
On Congress MP DK Suresh's comment of south should be a "separate country", the minister said, "Devastating to hear this. Rahul's Congress will do this type of divide and rule appeasement politics. They are so desperate because they are incompetent. They will play to lowest common denominator."
" Worst kind of politics under Rahul Gandhi. Should be rejected outright. We believe in sabka saath, sabka vikas. We are taking everybody along. It is Narendra Modiji's ideology," he said.
