On Camera: Youth Stabbed, Left Bleeding On Busy Road In Thane’s Mumbra (Representational image)

Thane: In a brutal attack, a youth was stabbed multiple times and left bleeding on a busy road after a scuffle broke out between him and the suspect in the Mumbra locality of Thane, Maharashtra, on Saturday. The incident was also recorded by one of the bystanders on his mobile phone.
The video showed two men involved in a heated argument. However, the quarrel turns violent when one of them takes out a sharp knife from his pocket and stabs the other several times, leaving him injured.
According to The Free Press Journal, the victim was identified as Salim Siddiqui. Reports suggested that the argument began due to an alleged money dispute between the two men.
Even though the incident took place on a busy street, nobody immediately came to rescue the victim. In the video, people were seen witnessing the stabbing till Siddiqui got injured. However, the injuries were not life-threatening as he got a cut on his hand near the elbow.
The person who shared the clip on X (formerly Twitter) wrote in caption: “The illegal stalls of Paan, Cigarettes and Gutkha which have been set up by Mumbra Police in Mumbra city have become a big terror base for the Muslim community and the corrupt police officers are running these bases by collecting half the amount if the half recovery is not done. If so then it is illegal.”

After the clip was shared on social media, the Thane Police replied to the post on X (formerly Twitter) saying, “Your information has been reported to Senior Police Inspector, Mumbra Police Station for necessary action.”
Hours after this, the police again replied, “Your information as mentioned above has been verified and found to be incorrect / Not true. Henceforth you are advised to verify the authenticity of the information and then communicate to this twitter handle incomplete / incorrect information to be avoided.”
