The 10-day long celebrations wherein scores of Ganesh idols with different themes are set up in public spaces across the cities with some popular pandals being set up at the same spots for years. Such idols are named mostly after the location they are set up in. For example, Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh idol is set up every year at Lalbaug and Andhericha Raja idol is installed in Andheri. 1. Lalbaugcha Raja
One of the most famous Ganesh Murtis in Mumbai, Lalbaugcha Raja is frequented by celebrities and Bollywood actors. First look of the Lalbaugcha Ganesh was unveiled amid much fanfare last week.Location: Lalbaug

2. GSB Seva Mandal Ganpati (King Circle)
GSB Seva Mandal Ganpati idol is Mumbai's richest Bappa. The idol adorns gold and silver jewellery. On the first day of Ganeshotsav on Tuesday, the idol got 32kgs of Silver donations. The gold and silver from this year's idol will be used in construction of gate for Ram Temple in Ayodhya.Location: King's Circle
