Mumbai: A highly-decomposed body of a 36-year-old woman was found in the Bhiwandi city of Maharashtra’蝉 Thane district. According to the police, a hunt is on for her live-in partner and a female friend, who are prime suspects in the case.
A PTI report said the body of the woman was found in the kitchen. She has been identified. The victim might have been killed with her throat slit at least three to four days back. However, the house owner informed the cops on Monday about a foul smell emanating from the room.
"Police broke open the door and saw the woman lying dead in the kitchen," the report quoted an official as saying.
As per the neighbours, the deceased was a divorcee who was living in the room for the past 11 months.
Recently, a similar case was reported from Vasai, where a 34-year-old graphic designer, named Manohar Shukla, was arrested for allegedly killing his 28-year-old girlfriend by submerging her in a bucket of water at her Naigaon home. Even worse, after performing this heinous deed, the man's wife helped him hide the body by putting it in a suitcase.
