Yashasvi Jaiswal created history in the second Test between India and Bangladesh at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur as he hit a half-century in the fourth innings of the match to help the home team seal a memorable seven-wicket victory.
The 22-year-old made 51 runs in 45 balls in the second innings of the match after a quick-fire 51-ball 72 in the first innings, which set the stage for an unlikely victory for the home team. After Bangladesh put 233 runs on the board, India made 285 runs with 34.4 overs in an effort that saw them shatter multiple world records, including the fastest team 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250.

Jaiswal became the ninth player in Test cricket history and the first Indian to score two half-centuries in the same Test in less than 50 balls (strike rate above 100). The 22-year-old made the fourth-quickest fifty by an Indian in the first inning by reaching the milestone in just 31 balls. Later, he got to the milestone in 43 balls in the second inning to put India on the brink of victory.
