Conor McGregor’s Training Partner GIves His Prediction On Michael Chandler Face-Off In UFC 303: ‘He Is Too Sharp And Well-Rounded’

The former PFL world champion sparring partner of Conor McGregor is confident that "The Notorious" will submit Michael Chandler in the octagon. In a welterweight match versus Chandler at UFC 303 on June 29 during International Fight Week, the Irishman will make his MMA comeback. 'The Notorious' is competing in the octagon for the first time since losing to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.

Former PFL featherweight tournament champion Brendan Loughnane, who trained with McGregor for six weeks in Dubai in 2023, thinks Chandler will be too much to handle despite the 35-year-old's extended absence from the ring.
"I think he is going to knock the f*ck out of Michael Chandler, just overwhelms and batters him. I think he is too sharp and well-rounded," said Loughnane, via Mirror Fighting. "Chandler is going to come for a brawl, but Conor is too experienced on the outside. I think he will catch him on the way in and then it's see you later."
In his last five games, "The Notorious" (22–6) is 2-3. He defeated Donald Cerrone in the UFC 246 more than four years ago. But there's no denying McGregor's fighting heritage. He has victories over fighters like Eddie Alvarez, Nate Diaz, and Jose Aldo. He was the two-time UFC champion.
Despite being the more active of the two recently, Chandler (23-8) hasn't competed since losing at UFC 281 in November 2022. In his previous five, "Iron" is also 2-3. Despite his inconsistent performance in the UFC, the 37-year-old is a three-time Bellator lightweight champion.
Although Conor McGregor's sparring partner Brendan Loughnane believes that the Irishman is the overwhelming favorite to defeat Michael Chandler, the bookmakers don't seem to think so and have declared the bout to be tight.
'The Notorious' is a -120 favorite in the bout, with Chandler trailing closely behind as a +100 underdog, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. Based on the current odds, a $100 bet on the previous two-division champion will return $183.33, while a $100 stake on Chandler will pay out a larger $200 if 'lron' raises his hand.
