Pickleball To Grow Two-Fold In 2025, Opportunities Expand for Players and Fans
The APP Tour is planning to launch over 20 new competitions for pickleball players at the pro and amateur levels across the United States. These will include the return of the AARP Champions Cup and the APP Atlantic Cup. In 2025, there will be about 50 APP Tour events.

Pickleball is steadily gaining tremendous popularity, and keeping that in mind, the Association of Pickleball Players (APP) Tour has decided to take proactive measures to meet the growing demand for the sport. For 2025, the tour is planning to double its event schedule, offering players more opportunities to compete.
Fans will also benefit from more events, giving them more chances to watch exciting matches and experience the special atmosphere of professional pickleball tournaments.
“The APP has enjoyed a strong 2024, positioning us perfectly for even more significant growth in 2025. The experiences the APP provides for pickleball players, across all ages and all abilities, sets the standard in pickleball worldwide. We remain committed to delivering the absolute best experience for all players and paving the way for America’s future pickleball stars. As we continue to grow, we are leading the world in the sport’s development.” - said founder and Head of International & Player Development at Association of Pickleball Professionals, Ken Herrmann.
The APP Tour is also planning to launch over 20 new competitions for pickleball players at the pro and amateur levels across the United States. These will include the return of the AARP Champions Cup and the APP Atlantic Cup. In 2025, there will be about 50 APP Tour events. Regarding TV coverage, timing will span over 55 hours in 2025, giving APP Tour pros more exposure.
