After the Paris Olympics was over, a video emerged where the two medallists were seen chatting with each other, and Manu Bhaker's mother too had a chat with Neeraj Chopra. With social media speculations of something brewing between the two rife, the star Indian shooter has finally put an end to all rumours.

"Baat to mujhe zyaada nahi pata...us samay main waha nahi thi...2018 se jaise hum milte aa rahe hai kisi events main ya kisi competition mein...waise zyaada baat to hoti nahi hai...kabhi kabhi events aur competitions mein ho jaati haithodi bahut. Toh I think wohi hai, thoda bahut ho jaata hai kabhi kabhi. Aisa kuch nahi hai jo sunne mein aa raha hai (I don't know much. I was not present when my mother was speaking with him. We have met and spoken whenever we meet during competitions in 2018, even though it has not been that much. There is nothing as such that has been brewing on social media)," she said.
Manu Bhaker became the first Indian since independence to claim two medals in a single Olympics. She won the bronze medal in the women's 10m air pistol event, and in the 10m air pistol mixed team category alongside Sarabjot Singh.
