The joyous and vibrant Ganpati celebrations have kicked off across India, bringing together a harmonious symphony of devotion. Mumbai, the heart and soul of the festival is filled with a magical atmosphere with elaborate decorations, colourful pandals, and larger-than-life idols of Lord Ganesha. Times Network brings you a ground report of two such Ganesha idols visited by millions of devotees from across. The GSB (Gowd Saraswat Brahman) Seva Mandal, was founded in 1951 on the fortunate occasion of Vijaya Dashami, and its 'Mahaganpati', is regarded as India's richest idol for its lavish way of decoration, which is adorned with 66.5 kilos of gold jewels, more than 295 kilograms of silver.
