Aprilia RS 457: Engine and Transmission SpecsAprilia has gone all out guns blazings with the new RS bike. The Italian marque has developed a new parallel-twin engine that is nestled inside a stiff aluminum frame and the crankcase serves as the stressed member of the chassis. The engine gets double overhead camshafts and four-valve for each cylinder, and the cumulative power output of the Aprilia RS 457 is rated at 47bhp, torque figures are yet to be unveiled. The engine comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox and quick-shifter as well.
Aprilia RS 457: PerformanceTo efficiently churn out all that power, Aprilia has equipped the RS 457 with ride-by-wire throttle. There are also three ride modes, Rain, Eco, and Sport. Reportedly, these ride modes will modulate the power delivery and traction control of the bike, however, power output will remain the same throughout.

As part of the design lingo, the LED lighting sharp bodywork with aero winglets accenting are vivid of the bigger bike. Suspension duties are handled by 41mm upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock for the rear, both of which are fully adjustable. Braking duties are handled by a ByBre radial-mount four-piston caliper on a 320mm single disc at the front, and a 220mm single disc brake for the rear wheel and ABS is available in both.
