Triumph Scrambler 1200 X is the only motorcycle of the Scrambler 1200 lineup in India

Triumph Motorcycles has launched the 1200 X in India at a starting price of 11.83 lakh (ex-showroom). The new motorcycle will carry forward the legacy of the Scrambler 1200 XC which was discontinued earlier. Additionally, the motorcycle is more accessible than the Scrambler 1200 XC and fits the family of the Scrambler 1200 motorcycle with its capabilities. However, the XE version of the motorcycle is better when it comes to off-road riding. It is to be noted that the Scrambler 1200 X is the only model of the lineup available in India.
The Triumph Scrambler 1200 X carries the DNA of its predecessors in terms of design with elements like a circular headlamp among other things. However, the motorcycle has now become better for smaller riders with a seat height of 820 mm, which is less than the XC. Complementing the looks of the motorcycle is a wire-spoke 21-inch wheel for the front and 17-inch wheel for the rear end.
Furthermore, for the rider's comfort, the motorcycle gets a multi-functional LCD instrument with a TFT display. This circular-shaped unit is similar to the one seen on other 660 cc motorcycles of the brand. It has been equipped with optional Bluetooth features like turn-by-turn navigation and notification alerts.
The motorcycle is based on a tubular steel frame and gets Marzocchi forks at the front end and the Marzocchi preload adjustable mono-shock at the rear end. Meanwhile, the braking duties are taken care of by the two-piston Nissin axial caliper working with twin 310 mm discs at the front end and a single 255 disc at the rear. To make things easier, the motorcycle offers five riding modes namely Rain, Road, Sport, Off-road, and rider configurable.
The motorcycle is powered by a 1200 cc Liquid-cooled, 8-valve, parallel twin engine which kicks out 89 bhp of power and 110 Nm of torque while revving at 4250 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed wet, multi-plat assist clutch.
