Kushaq Onyx Automatic Version Debuts in India

Skoda India has expanded its Kushaq lineup by launching the automatic version of the Kushaq Onyx. Positioned between the Active and Ambition variants, the new automatic Onyx variant is priced at Rs 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It is exclusively available with the 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine
The Kushaq Onyx variant boasts an array of features designed to enhance both safety and comfort. It includes LED headlamps with daytime running lights (DRLs), cornering fog lamps, a rear wiper with defogger, hill hold control, paddle shifters, and automatic climate control. Additionally, the Onyx variant is equipped with six airbags, ensuring comprehensive protection for all passengers.
Beyond these functional features, the Onyx variant also incorporates aesthetic enhancements such as floor mats, scuff plates, an Onyx badge, and Onyx-themed cushions, adding a touch of exclusivity to the SUV's interior.
Initially introduced in 2023 with only a manual gearbox, the Kushaq Onyx edition now offers the convenience of an automatic transmission. The 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine, paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox, delivers 114bhp and 178Nm of peak torque, providing a smooth and responsive driving experience. By offering the automatic version of the Kushaq Onyx, Skoda aims to cater to a wider range of customers seeking both convenience and style in their compact SUV.
Speaking on the launch, Petr Janeba, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India, said, “The Onyx variant has been a key addition in our line-up combining the value of the Active trim with features from the higher variants. This new Kushaq Onyx offering is in response to feedback from our customers, which points at a healthy demand for an automatic variant at a more accessible price point.”
Meanwhile, internationally Skoda has announced the pricing for the new Kodiaq iV plug-in hybrid for the UK market. Read full details here.
