Maruti Suzuki Sales FY 23-24

In FY 23-24 Maruti Suzuki managed to sell a total of 21,35,323 units. This indicates an increase in annual total sales by 1,69,644 units which translates to 8.60 percent year-on-year increase in total sales. The sales figures for total vehicles sold by Maruti Suzuki in FY 22-23 stood at 19,66,164 units.
In FY 23-24 Maruti Suzuki managed to sell 17,93,644 units in the domestic market. This indicates an increase in annual domestic sales by 1,48,768 units which translates to 9.04 percent year-on-year increase in domestic sales. The sales figures for the vehicles sold by Maruti Suzuki in the domestic market in FY 22-23 stood at 16,44,876 units.
In FY 23-24 Maruti Suzuki exported 2,83,067 units of vehicles. This indicates an increase in exports by 23,734 units which translates to 9.15 percent year-on-year rise in exports. Total vehicles exported by Maruti Suzuki in FY 22-23 stood at 2,59,333 units.

Hyundai Sales FY 23-24

In FY 23-24 Hyundai managed to sell a total of 7,77,876 units of passenger vehicles. This indicates an increase in total annual sales by 57,311 units which translates to 7.95 percent year-on-year increase in total annual sales. The sales figures for total passenger vehicles sold by Hyundai in FY 22-23 stood at 7,20,565 units.
In FY 23-24 Hyundai managed to sell 6,14,721 units of passenger vehicles in the domestic market. This indicates an increase in annual domestic sales by 47,175 units which translates to 8.31 percent year-on-year increase in annual domestic sales. The sales figures for the passenger vehicles sold by Hyundai in the domestic market in FY 22-23 stood at 5,67,546 units.
In FY 23-24 Hyundai exported 1,63,155 units of passenger vehicles. This indicates an increase in annual exports by 10,136 units which translates to 6.62 percent year-on-year increase in annual exports. The passenger vehicles exported by Hyundai in FY 22-23 stood at 1,53,019 units.

Maruti Suzuki vs Hyundai: Car Sales FY 23-24

In FY 2023-2204 Maruti Suzuki overall sold 13,57,447 units more than Hyundai which is 174.50 percent ahead of its competitor in terms of total sales. In domestic sales Maruti Suzuki sold 11,78,923 units more than Hyundai which is 191.78 percent more than its competitor. Comparing the exports of both the companies for FY 23-24, Maruti Suzuki exported 1,19,912 units more than Hyundai which is 73.49 percent than its competitor. Maruti Suzuki has been the market leader in car sales in India for over 40 years and its closest competitor Hyundai is nowhere in the horizon; in terms of total sales, domestic sales or even exports for Financial Year 2023-2024. This lead shows the sheer dominance of Maruti Suzuki in the Indian market.
