The Tesla Cybertruck is widely recognized due to its stainless steel body panels. The Cybertruck has been criticized widely for its design and experts have had serious concerns over its safety when involved in a crash. A recent Cybertruck crash into a ditch shows the extent of damage these vehicles can incur due to their unique construction.

When the Tesla Cybertruck was showcased, one of the major talking points of vehicle was its stainless steel body panels and Elon Musk raved about its toughness. A recent crash of a Cybertruck into a ditch showcases the amount of damage these panels incur in the case of a crash as straight cut stainless steel panels are more rigid and they sheered right off from the vehicle leaving being the door skeletons.

A recent post of a Cybertruck stranded on the side of a pond has emerged on the Cybertruckowners club forum. The vehicle is absolutely destroyed from one side. The stainless steel panels have peeled off like a banana from the body of the car leaving the passenger compartment exposed. The windshield is cracked and all the airbags have deployed as well. The rear passenger glass is also shattered. The whole lower portion of the front passenger side door is also bent with heavy damage to the front end of the vehicle as well, which depicts the force of the accident.
Currently there is no news how this accident happened but we assume that the driver lost control and the car went into the ditch at a very high rate of speed. We hope the passengers did not incur any major injuries. Some images do show two occupants standing by the side of the vehicle while it lies on the side of a pond.

The Tesla Cybertruck possibly incurred such grave damage due to the way it is made. The stainless steel panel sheered off due to its rigidity, while regular body panels would have been bent and dented in this scenario. We cannot comment on the fact that if this is a safety concern in the event of a crash but we can say that fixing up this vehicle would be an extremely tough job and we assume that the insurance company will probably write off this vehicle as a total loss.
