Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is gearing up to launch its upcoming housing scheme, which will feature around 3,000 premium properties, just ahead of the festival of Diwali.
Variety of housing options for bidders
These properties will be allocated through a lottery system and will encompass a variety of housing options such as penthouses, Super HIG (High-Income Group), HIG, MIG, and EWS (Economically Weaker Section) flats in locations like Dwarka, Lok Nayak Puram, Vasant Kunj, among others.
Several of these properties are currently in the final stages of construction.
The Times of India in its report a DDA official who stated, "This will be an exclusive scheme primarily offering premium properties. For instance, penthouses and Super HIG residences under construction in Sector 19B of Dwarka will be included in this scheme. Additionally, MIG and EWS flats, also in the process of being built in Sector 14 Dwarka and Lok Nayak Puram, will be part of the offering." At Lok Nayak Puram, construction is nearing completion, with only the fire no-objection certificate pending.
DDA devise strategy to boost sales
In August, the DDA enlisted the assistance of a real estate consultant to devise strategies for boosting sales, including addressing the issue of approximately 40,000 unsold flats. The consulting firm will recommend a sales strategy, and the DDA will conduct a survey based on the findings, incorporating any necessary changes into its schemes.
The DDA has already implemented various measures to enhance sales, including removing the restriction that disallowed individuals who already owned a DDA flat or a plot in Delhi measuring more than 67 square meters from applying for new schemes.
Officials also revealed that another housing scheme is in the works, featuring the sale of approximately 23,000 newly constructed flats, primarily LIGs (Low-Income Group) in the Narela sub-city area. This scheme is expected to be introduced in a phased manner, most likely early next year, to avoid any confusion in the market.
