CBSE Class 12 Chemistry Exam 2024 was conducted today. The questions were easy and in line with the CBSE Chemistry Sample Paper 2023-24. The exam was held for three hours between 10.30 am and 1.30 pm.

Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE conducted the class 12 Chemistry exam today, February 27, 2024. The exam was conducted in a single shuift between 10.30 am and 1.30 pm. As per initial reviews from students, teh question paper was easy this time. It was in line with the sample paper released by boad earlier on official website. Chemistry question paper was divided into 5 sections and there were a total of 35 questions in Chemistry paper. Class 12 Chemistry exam was divided in five sections - Section A, B, C, D and E.
The question paper had both long and short answer type questions. The long answer type question were direct and the short answer type questions were theoretical and a little tricky. CBSE 12th Chemistry Exam Analysis

Dr. Neelima Kamrah , Principal of KIIT World School, Gurugram shares. "Paper is described as simple and well-balanced, which is positive feedback. This suggests that the questions were distributed evenly across difficulty levels. The inclusion of numerical questions to test analytical ability is commendable. It adds a dimension to the exam that assesses not just theoretical knowledge but also the application of concepts."
Dr. Mayank Agnihotri, PGT Chemistry, VidyaGyan School Sitapur said that the Chemistry paper followed CBSE pattern, was balanced, and was based entirely on the NCERT curriculum. The question paper was easy for students who had thoroughly studied the class XII NCERT textbook. All the questions were direct and numerical calculations were simple and required little effort. The case study-based questions were easy to answer.
Last year, CBSE 12th Chemistry question paper was quite average for almost all the students. Question were straightforward. MCQ's in the sets were different but the theoretical questions were mostly same. The passage based questions were easy to guess.

CBSE Class 12 Chemistry Exam Pattern

As per the CBSE 12th Chemistry sample paper, there were 33 questions in this question paper with internal choice. All questions were compulsory, and use of log tables and calculators were not allowed. Section A consisted of 16 multiple-choice questions for one mark each; Section B consisted of 5 short answer questions for 2 marks each, Section C consisted of 7 short answer questions for three marks each, Section D consisted of 2 case-based questions for 4 marks each and Section E included 3 long answer questions for 5 marks each. Next main exam is of Geography on February 29, 2024. Students are advised to solve sample papers ahead of exams.
