Explained: How Arvind Kejriwal's Release Will Help AAP's Lok Sabha Poll Campaign In Delhi And Beyond

Lok Sabha Election: Arvind Kejriwal has nearly two weeks to boost AAP campaigns in Delhi, where the AAP is contesting 4 seats, and Haryana (AAP is contesting in Kurukshetra seat) and Punjab, where it is contesting all 13 seats. Delhi, which has seven seats, will vote on May 25.

Arvind Kejriwal's release means he can now campaign for AAP for 18 seats out of total 22 Lok Sabha seats where the party is fighting.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, out on interim bail till June 1 to campaign for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, has a packed Saturday, which will include a visit to Hanuman temple in central Delhi's Connaught Place followed by a press conference and two roadshows in the national capital.
The AAP chief has 21 days to campaign for his party and allies in the INDIA alliance in the ongoing Lok Sabha election before he surrenders himself on June 2, a day after the last phase of the seven-phase poll gets over. Delhi, which has seven seats, will vote on May 25.
Seats Where Kejriwal, Released After 50 Days, Can Campaign
With Arvind Kejriwal in jail since his arrest on March 21, the Aam Aadmi Party lacked a star campaigner for the Lok Sabha polls. In his absence, the party's campaigns were managed by Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj.
The party also pitched Kejriwal's wife, Sunita, in the meetings held by INDIA bloc leaders, even sharing the stage with Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. Known to keep a low profile till then, Sunita Kejriwal became her husband's voice and carried his message as she campaigned in the country during the Lok Sabha polls.
Arvind Kejriwal's release means he can now campaign for AAP for 18 seats out of total 22 Lok Sabha seats where the party is fighting.
Kejriwal could not campaign in Assam and Gujarat - Assam voted in the first phase, Gujarat in the third phase - where the party is contesting in two states each.
He, however, has nearly two weeks to boost AAP campaigns in Delhi, where the AAP is contesting 4 seats, and Haryana (AAP is contesting in Kurukshetra seat) and Punjab, where it is contesting all 13 seats.
It needs to be seen if the AAP leader will campaign for his INDIA bloc allies in the ongoing elections. In his absence, the party was represented by Sanjay Singh to campaign for Akhilesh Yadav in Uttar Pradesh and Uddhav Thackeray-Sharad Pawar-Congress alliance in Maharashtra.
'Kejriwal's Release Will Be 'Game Changer' For Both AAP And INDIA bloc'
AAP leaders have said the release of Kejriwal will be a "game changer" for both AAP and the INDIA bloc's campaign as the Lok Sabha polls enter the crucial phases in the coming weeks.
Opposition leaders also welcomed Kejriwal's interim bail, saying the "fight to save democracy" will now be with more intensity.
Hinting at Kejriwal's stature in the INDIA grouping, senior AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said he will go all over the country to campaign for the Lok Sabha polls.
