Lok Sabha Polls 2024: The Congress leader claimed that the BJP will have to look for votes in neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan to reach their target of 400 seats. He also said that the BJP will not win more than 15 out of the 130 Lok Sabha seats in the South India.

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janta Party, or BJP, slogan of '400 paar' is "good for promoting on WhatsApp university" but was not possible in the current scenario, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy told Times Now on Friday. "BJP will have to look for votes in Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan to reach their target of 400 seats," he said.
Explaining why the BJP '400 paar' will remain a dream for the party, the Congress leader said :"I want to make one thing clear. Even if the BJP wins all the 25 seats in Rajasthan, 26 in Gujarat, all of the 10 seats in Haryana, 7 Lok Sabha seats in Delhi, 39-40 seats in Bihar, 62 in UP, 18 in Bengal, and between 80-100 per cent of the seats in Northern states, the party will win around 300 seats."
The Congress leader also added that the BJP will not win more than 15 out of the 130 Lok Sabha seats in the South India. "The BJP will have to look for votes in neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan to reach their target of 400 seats," he said at 'Public Manch' programme hosted by Group Editor-in-Chief Navika Kumar.
Asked about Congress's chances in the elections, Reddy refused to give a direct answer, saying that Congress is one of the lead party of the INDIA bloc which will win 270 seats in the elections. "Congress will win 14 seats in Telangana. You mark my word. In Kerala, we will win the whole 20 seats. We will get 40 seats from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. In Karnataka, the Congress will get half of the state's Lok Sabha seats," he said.
"BRS, BJP Have Tacit Understanding For Lok Sabha Polls
Earlier, Revanth Reddy had alleged that the BRS is in cahoots with the BJP for the Lok Sabha polls.
Addressing a rally at Mahabubabad, Reddy said: "Both (BRS and BJP) became one. They are cooperating with each other as they know that if they come directly they would not get votes. In order to get bail for his daughter (BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter Kavitha ), with a tacit understanding with (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi, BRS is working for BJP in five Lok Sabha seats."
He alleged that Telangana became bankrupt because the previous BRS government in the state as well as NDA regime at the Centre did not keep their promises. He questioned how BRS and BJP leaders could seek votes from the people of Telangana without fulfilling the promises.
He also alleged that it is PM Modi who supported former Chandrasekhar Rao here and did not take any action in the alleged Kaleswaram project scam.
