Ranbir Kapoor, Yash's Ramayana Shooting Updates

Nitesh Tiwari’蝉 Ramayana has begun shooting today, although none of the supposed stars of the show — Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash — are part of the inaugural shooting.
A source close to the project informs, "Namit Malhotra (producer) wanted to start the shooting on his birthday (April 2). So, they kind of rushed the shooting. It is only minor scenes with junior artistes."
About the stars joining the shooting, the source elaborates, "There is no clarity on that as yet, except for the fact that Yash has finally consented after months of dilly-dallying. He is playing Ravan. But he will make an appearance only in the second feature film. They plan to release three separate films, and Ravan will not be part of the first film. Yash will shoot for Ramayan after he finishes shooting for Geetu Mohandas’蝉 film Toxic."

Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana Casting

Talking about the casting of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, names of several big-ticket actors have been thrown in the mix. Strong reports confirm that Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as Lord Ram in this 3-part epic. Sai Pallavi will play the role of Mata Sita. Yash, who catapulted to fame with the KGF franchise, will essay the role of Ravan. Actors Ravi Dubey and Adinath Kothare could be seen as Lakhshman and Bharat, respectively. It was also reported earlier that Dangal actress Sakshi Tanwar has been approached for the role of Mandodari, Ravan's wife. However, when we reached out to the actress, she exclusively told us that no one has reached out to her as yet.
Further reports claim that Lara Dutta could play Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet to be seen as Shrupnakha, and Sunny Deol has agreed to play Lord Hanuman. However, there is no official confirmation from the actors or the makers as yet.
