The makers of director Narthan's Bhairathi Ranagal, on the occasion of Ugadi, released a poster of Karunada Chakravarthy Dr Shivarajkumar from the film, much to the delight of fans and film buffs.
In the poster that was released on Tuesday, Shivarajkumar is seen dressed as an advocate.
The film, which is the prequel of Kannada film Mufti, revolves around the central character of Bhairathi Ranagal, a crime boss. Mufti released in the year 2017. The prequel throws light on the origin of Bhairathi Ranagal. The character continues to have a lasting impression on audiences.
Apart from Shivanna as Bhairathi Ranagal, Mufti features Srii Murali along with Shanvi Srivastava in the lead.

Justice Arrives On August 15

This Independence Day, fans of Shivanna will be in for a huge treat as Bhairathi Ranagal is all set for a grand release on August 15.
Directed by Narthan, Bhairathi Ranagal, which is a prequel to the 2017 hit Kannada film Mufti, is being produced by Geetha Shivarajkumar under her home banner Geetha Pictures.
The most anticipated Kannada film will take on Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, in Karnataka, which is also hitting the screens on August 15.
Interestingly, Dhananjaya and Rashmika Mandanna, both of whom hail from the Kannada film industry, are an integral part of Pushpa 2.
Also, both Dr Shivarajkumar and Dhananjaya will be seen sharing screenspace after Tagaru in the Uttarakhanda film that is all set to go on floors from April 15.
Previously, another film of Dr Shivarajkumar, Ghost, which released in October 2023, had clashed with Tamil star actor Vijay’s Leo. Despite stiff competition, Ghost managed to do wonders at the box office.

Not A Competition

Shivarajkumar had made it very clear that his film is not in competition with any other movie releasing on August 15. He explained, "Similar to other filmmakers, we also consider public holidays followed by long weekends for release dates. Ghost was also released for the same purpose. It's widely believed that audiences tend to flock to theatres during such periods."
