In a rare scenario where real life imitates reel-life, actor Suraj Venjaramoodu who played the role of a Motor Vehicle Inspector Kuruvila Joseph, in the film Driving Licence finds himself in a controversy, which is quite contrary to the role he played.
While the character played by Suraj in the film took on a film star who rubs him on the wrong side, an episode in Suraj'a real life has shocked fans, as it involves an accident.

If rumours doing the rounds are to be believed, Suraj Venjaramoodu is likely to lose his eligibility to drive for three months.
The Kerala Motor Vehicles Department (KMVD)'s decision to suspend his driving licence comes in the wake of the actor allegedly failing to respond to three notices issued to him in connection toan accident involving a car driven by him in Kochi in the year 2023.
As per reports, a motorcyclist injured himself after being knocked down by the actor’s car along the Thammanam-Karanakkodam Road within the Palarivattom police station limits on the night of June 29, 2023.
The police registered a case against the actor under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others).
Sources close to the actor state that they are not aware of any such notices.

Suraj Venjaramoodu future projects

A few weeks ago, actor Venjaramoodu signed his next project which also stars Asif Ali in the lead. The film kick-started with a pooja ceremony. The yet-untitled film is directed by debutant Nahas Nazar.
Suraj Venjaramoodu and Jailer fame Vinayakan are teaming up for Thekku Vadakku, produced by Anjana Talkies and Mohanlal's Odiyan director VA Shrikumar’s VARS Studios. It is directed by Prem Shankar, who previously made Randuper, which featured in the IFFK Competition Section in 2017.
